food for thought is a concept of dramaturg and host Gian van Grunsven. Over the last years Gian initiated various unique 'encounter-programs', like the interdisciplinairy Talkshow and the Theater Routes at Over het IJ Festival (2009-2011), a Dream Construction Site at the Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht (2010), a skate- and improvisationfestival (juni 2011) and many interactive performances for her company metDressing. Recently she establsihed the platform The Unusual Choice in order to research and promote longform improvisationtheater as artform, philosophy, mentality, style and way of personal and social development.

food for thought arose in cooperation between the University of Amsterdam and the theaters Frascati and De Brakke Grond (de Nes), in the context of the international congress Orbis Pictus - Theatrum Mundi. 

food for thought will further develop during all future collaborations.Gian is looking forward to share inspiration with interested organisations and serve food for thought widespread.
