jan lazardzig: i teach at the institut fuer theaterwissenschaft in berlin. there i received my phd with a work on theatre machine and fortification. paradoxes in knowledge production in the 17th century (2007). during the last years i worked on the interferences of theatre and science in the pre-modern era. at the moment i am preparing a habilitation on the history of theatre censureship. my areas of teaching are baroque theatre, theatre architecture, theatre censureship and anti-theatrical movements, historiography of theatre.
