lucas de man (1982, belgium) graduated  at the directing school amsterdam in july this year. he is the artistic leader of the international organisation for young directors (insted.eu) and artistic director of stichting nieuwe helden (nhelden.nl) which he founded together with bas van rijnsoever. his most important productions till now were cassius (for which he won the theater aan zee prijs 2007), temmen van de feeks (2007), naakt (2007 and touring in holland and belgium in 2008), bro's (in the gasthuis 2007) and nv harde materialen (graduation 2008). lucas is currently working on a major project called roll with it that will be presented december-january 2008 and tour through the east of europe for three months summer 2009.
