New Features

Last weekend the system has been replaced by a completely new and improved one, while maintaining all current accounts and settings. This (well let's call it an) update, also adds some exciting new features! Time for a roundup.

Page Numbering
As the call for a way for page-numbering loudened, I've decided to put some effort in it, and created a function to allow you to have automatic page-numbering for each page. This way you can add a blog or news-system to your site! In the past, if you kept adding widgets to a page, they just stood there. Now you can decide how may widgets you want to display on a page (in the "maincontent" layer, to be precise), before the automatic page-numbering sets in. Create an archive of posts, a photo-collection spanning years, start archiving on WidgetWell! To activate page-numbering for your site, go to the all-new settings-pane. Which also brings me to another new feature:

Site-wide Settings
Instead of having to continuously fill out the same settings for every new widget, I've now added a system-settings panel, where you can your can for example fill in your Flickr username once, and each new gallery or posts-widget automatically loads your Flickr images for you. Saves you a lot of typing and loading! More site-wide settings will follow.

Preview Mode
To avoid having to log out just to see how your site looks like without all the edit buttons and crosses scattered around, I've now created a "preview"-button. Just press it, and you'll see your site exactly as your visitors see it!

Make background-images automatically fit in layer
Many people asked if there was a way to make the background-image automatically fit in the layer, so they wouldn't have to resize the image in advance. Now you can! Just check the "fit in layer"-box before uploading and everything's set!

Enabled Caching
To speed up page-loading times, especially for Flickr-images, I've now enabled caching site-wide!
